The other day I came into church and sat way in the back as usual. As I was reading the bulletin waiting for service to begin, I noticed out the corner of my eye a grandmother and her 2 grandchildren. They went into the pew in front of me and sat down and from that moment it stirred up something in me.
I was happy to see this instance in somebody's life. Some grandmother I do not know bringing her 2 grandchildren to church. These kids are really young, probably 8 at the oldest. I remember at that age, nobody can sit still for more than 2 seconds. I expected them to be standing up and crawling in/on/under the pews, just hyperness. Yet she brought them in and sat them down, and it is from this instance I realized how much she really loved her grandchildren.
How many families still bring in their kids to hear the Good Word? I know a lot of them do maybe out of habit, maybe because they really do feel that they need it. It really is a blessing to hear it and be able share it with your family and friends. I can't describe that feeling but it's a good one. Hallelujah!
